Between Shifts Theatre is proud to present Morris Panych’s Girl in the Goldfish Bowl, a quirky, comedic, coming-of-age play.
Iris, on the cusp of turning 11 years old, is trying to process the death of her pet goldfish, Amahl, during a particularly turbulent time politically (the Cuban Missile Crisis), and at home (her parent’s failing marriage). She can’t help but feel that somehow these events are intertwined, so when a stranger is found on the beach, she brings him home, convinced he is the reincarnation of Amahl, and the key to holding “the whole world together”.
